How we handle your report.
This notice explains what happens when you send a report, story pitch, or tip to the Nick’s Media newsroom through the report form on our site. Please read it before you submit. You must agree to it before the form will send anything.
What we collect
When you submit through the report form we collect only what you provide:
- Your name (as you give it).
- Your email address, so an editor can follow up.
- The desk you selected.
- Your headline and the details of the report.
- The date and time of your consent, and a link to this notice.
We do not require an account, and we do not collect payment or government identifiers through this form.
Why we collect it
We use your submission to evaluate and, where appropriate, verify and report on the story. Your contact details are used to reach you for follow-up questions and to confirm details. We do not sell submissions or use them for advertising.
How long we keep it
Submissions are retained for a limited period for editorial review and then deleted automatically. We keep them only as long as needed to consider and, if verified, report the story, or as required by law. Ask us and we will tell you the current retention period.
Who can see it
Access is limited to Nick’s Media editors who need it to review and verify the story. We do not publish your identity or contact details without your agreement, unless the law requires it. Reports are treated as unverified tips and are checked independently before anything is published.
Before you submit
Do not send confidential or urgent information through this page. Anything you submit may not be monitored around the clock. If your material is sensitive, illegal to hold, or involves immediate risk to someone’s safety, contact the newsroom through the published contact email first and wait for guidance.
Your choices
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete a submission you have sent, and you can withdraw your consent for future handling. To make a request, email hello@nicksmedia.com with enough detail for us to find your submission. Requests may be limited where the law, or the need to verify a live story, requires us to keep certain records.

We may update this notice as our newsroom and the law change. The current version will always be published at this address, and the date of the latest revision is shown below.
